I dont think so. If youre using GPS as an NDB substitute, you dont
have to have the DP in the data base. You just call up the NDB (easiest
on mine is use the NRST button), hit "hold" button to suspend sequecing,
and if you like input your desired course. Then fly the hold.

The precision and situational awareness are both improved IMO.

No, but any NDB which is part of standard instrument procedures should
be in the database.

I dont know, but in any IFR GPS you can suspend waypoint sequencing
by hitting a single button and hold at at that waypoint, which certainly
provides the capabilities of an ADF.

You dont need to have an obstacle departure, or any DP or STAR, in your
GPS to fly it IFR; simply the navaids upon which the procedure is based.
