The cost of the CT-1000 was an issue for me until I found a used one for
$3500. With Northstars battery and cable the total was about $5000 for the hardware. The CT-1000 weighs 3.25lbs. I have the "arm" part of the mount resting on top of the yoke otherwise it might move around in turbulence, bad landings ect. I dont notice the weight of the thing in flight so its cg must be fairly close to the axis of the yoke.
