Just to update those interested in switching (or purchasing), the new
adapter autoinstalled without a hitch, funtioned flawlessly, and
autorecognized (I two different types of Garmin cards for a 430
GPS)and programmed my card just fine ... albeit obviously more slowly than
my previous SkyBound I.

I have a plain Jane Win98 computer with an AnTec dual card PCI to PCI
PCMCIA card adapter.

To see what would happen I installed the new SkyBound II without
uninstalling the old SkyBound I first. Pleasantly there were none of the
dreaded conflicts that I had anticipated and that the JeppRep mentioned.
If you are Garmin be sure to install the data card printed label UP in the
SkyBound II BEFORE inserting the adapter ... but insert the SkyBound II
printed label DOWN in the PCMCIA slot. (Odd I thought)Insert the card and
adapter into the PCMCIA slot and let the computer recognize it before
double clicking on the SkyBound II icon. After that it went smoothly
(slowly) and automatically.

I guess Im satisfied. Good work on Jepps part this time ... at least in
my case.

Keith
