Hmmmm. What stops this from being implemented next week -- or at least,
next
chart cycle? Gosh, something else for you guys to do -- record the
ATIS! *g*

Although -- it would depend upon pilot feedback about rides. If enough
guys were giving Pireps in effect FSS pireps could serve as ATIS, but
for whatever reason they dont.

One of the neat features of software like CBAV, BTW, is that it can
pull up pireps without the bother of changing frequency and writing
em down. One can file flight plans using a service like weathertap....
now, if one could only generate pireps the same way, maybe wed see
more of em.

I thought this is what your FAA managers at ZTL had already done/were
already doing? How would this differ?
