>The autozoom works the same way in the GPS KLN94. Is it true that the
radar/weather overlay (Nexrad) displays only "North Up" and not "Track Up"? > >Gerd >T182T C-FDOW > Gerd: That was an item that I was not that happy with. I talked with Robert Compton of Bendix-King who did explain that while in the WX function on the KMD550/850, NEXRAD and weather depiction is North up only. You can however move the cursor with the joystick and get bearing and distance of the cursor on the bottom middle of the screen. What that means is that as you are flying South from Latrobe, PA (LBE) to Fort Lauderdale Executive (FXE) you want to know what deviation from course is necessary for the Georgia/Florida afternoon thunderstorms. While you are crossing SAV at FL290 you could move the cursor to the clear area away from returns (each pixel is 2 nm square, colored light green, green, yellow, red, magenta, etc), and then look at the bottom of the screen to see what is the direction and distance of the cursor on the map. You then tell JAX center that you would like a deviation of 162 degrees for 105 nm.
