I never said that, so lets do it (again). Arguing that GPS needs a
backup system, because it can be jammed, is pointless if the
"backup system" can in fact be jammed just as easily or more easily
than the system "needing backup".

Ie., if GPS can be jammed by a ham sandwitch, it is pointless
to say that is a problem if all the current alternatives can be
jammed by same said ham sandwitch.

This, in a nutshell, is what I have a problem with, this retoric
based argument that we propose many kinds of attacks on GPS but
then decline to discuss the equal or greater ease with which the
current systems could be defeated, by similar techniques, including
a crowbar from the local Ace hardware store applied to the (terrestrial)
transmitter.

The argument that a "cripple" would somehow be safer if backed up by
another "cripple" is specious.
