I started my aviation career as a "fan", hanging on the airport fence. I was lucky enough to grow up on Canadian air bases in the 50s and 60s, and the sights and sounds hooked me for life. Who out there remembers the sound of a North Star running up, or the groan of a Starfighters brakes :)? Youre absolutely right about winning aviation supporters, and maybe even future customers or employees by giving these people a few seconds once and a while. I find it can be great self-motivation, too. Its easy to get caught up in all your little problems, and it helps to have somebody remind you that you really have a neat job! BW |
