There is another option that gives you (in clear skies) a broader panorama of the whole Bay Area, and you dont even have to talk to anyone unless you want to... From Napa, fly toward Concord. Buchanan Field is easy to identify, and adjacent to that is the 680 Freeway. Follow the 680 Freeway southbound below 6000 MSL. Where 680 turns west and cuts through a notch in the hills, that is Sunol, where you start your descent and proceed direct to San Carlos. Just watch your step downs to remain beneath the Class B floors. |
