Another good idea I learned from Oshkosh; talk to all your neighbors. As
soon as you apply for a grass strip on ;your property your neighbors will
assume that LAX is going to be built on your land and send up a protest that
will be heard round the world. You need to assure them that only you and an
occasional friend will use the strip.
