Subject:OSH NORDO Discussion

Has anyone flown into OSH in the past few years during the convention
using the NORDO procedure?

Last time I flew it was 1986 and the procedures were different.
As I read the current procedures, it seems as though its getting tougher
to fly an antique/classic without electrical system into the fray. If I
were to try to fly the RIPON procedure in my Champ at 85 MPH, it would
sure be interesting to see what happens behind me. (Note that the
procedure states 90 kts OR BEST SPEED.) After reading Rick Durdens
post-OSH column from last year, I dont think hed be happy to have me in
the mix.
Whats everyone think?
