Steve,
I have the GNC300XL in my Cherokee, and have flown with the King and
Apollo units in various AC around my field. I would NOT trade my Garmin for
any of them! It has performed wonderfully since its installation, about
11-13 months ago. Ive used it to go X-Country from Houston to Atlanta on
several occasions, without any problems whatsoever. One of my flying
friends here, has a Twin Comanche with a King installed, and he is
"Upgrading" to a Garmin!! His unit is nearly new, and came with the AC when
purchased about 8 months ago (a real beauty of a Twin Comanche; absolutely
pristine!!).
I chose the GMC300XL for its IFR capabilities. I know a few folks
flying with the GNC250XL, and all are very happy.

Regards...
