Subject:GPSIII Question

Im a student pilot just waiting on bad weather to get finished. Sitting in
the display case at the FBO was a GPSIII. Actually there were two units.

It seems that one unit is a GPSIII and the other is a GPSIII Pilot. They
were shipped a unit in a box marked pilot, but it was the "ordinary" unit
without an aviation database. The FBO price for the Pilot model is $625 (I
know, I know, the definition of air piracy). But, they are looking to sell
the other unit for $295.

As you might guess, my questions are...

What are the differences between the two models? Is it possible to load the
aviation database into the "ordinary" unit? Is the GPSMAP 195 that much
better than the GPSIII to justify the cost.

Im really looking for an education here!

Thanx
Mike
