Wag Aero told me that it is not legal to use their seat belt
extenders in a certificated airplane and there are no labels on them indicating that you can. The deal is that they have a STC for the belts and harnesses, but not for the extenders. The extenders have the same webbing and buckles, so they surely are as safe as the main belts. I suspect that the airlines have their extenders approved, so there is no problem there. As you know every little bit has to be approved by the original airworthiness certificate and equipment list, or by STC, or by field approval. That said, I will use the extenders if needed for the occasional lardo, but I would probably not want to use them regularly.
