There are three (3) interactive trim potentiometers on the Century I. The
first is the trim knob itself on the front left of the TC. The second is at the rear of the instrument. The third is internal to the TC, and depending upon the serial number is accessable either by opening the TC case, or through the upper left TC mounting screw hole. The third trim pot sets the servo motor turn-on voltage. This is set at the factory for each servo, but is sometimes reset in the field. Basically, with the trim knob and the rear trim pot centered, the third pot is adjusted until the servo just starts to move. The rear trim pot is then adjusted in TINY increments until the servo stops rotating in either direction. If the servo wont move, or the pick-offs and associated circuits in the TC are shot, youve got bigger problems then just trim pot adjustments. This is NOT a do it yourself process!!! piperflyer wrote: > My Century I autopilot on Piper warrior was never operative as far as I > know.
