Pitts are very noisy. Many people have problems with the mics
in them.

A friend of mine was so impressed with how my Bose Series II
headset mic sounded in my Pitts, he phoned Bose and ordered a
replacement mic, and grafted it onto his already mutilated ANR
(I forget the brand) snoopy helmet. Not cheap, I am sure. A
Bose mic probably costs about the same as most headsets :-(

By all means try playing with the pots in the radio to get
the best match for your mic. Try 1/4 turn one way, then
the other, etc.
