Subject:Re: How much does an Annual Cost?
From:Bill Watson

Well, Ive been keeping the numbers at arms length since my recent annual,
but here goes:
Own: Maule MX7-180a - 550 hrs
Annual: $800
Labor & Parts to correct discrepancies: $1,500
What happened?
Aileron cable replacement - frayed at wing exit!
Replaced spinner backplate due to cracking - second time - part n/c
Brakes, Tailwheel bearings,
replaced some door seals
other misc

I sat thru the annual with 3 mechanics/1day+. Meticulous shop. It was an
eye opener. Many items could/would be deferred in other annuals but this is
the way I want it.
