The airport is in the middle of the island, and theres a nominal $5 parking fee. There is no fuel available on the island, so plan ahead. A taxi anywhere will cost $5. Its a pleasant 15-20 minute downhill walk to town. In September you ought to be able to enjoy some ripe apples from the trees that line the road up near the airport. There are shops aplenty in town. Good food too. Finns is good for casual dining, as is the big "B" restaurant (I forget the name at the moment) at the marina. More formal dining (but not fancy) at the Harborside and National hotels. Public beaches are within walking distance of the ferry slip, north and south. Bikes and motor scooters rentals are available. Its quiet, even moreso after Labor Day.
