Thats what I thought until I got into this thread, Mike. And I still
believe that lots of people are expensing back the use of their private
aircraft when used for business transportation. I just cant find anything
in 61 or 91 that exactly covers my situation:
Aircraft registered in my name.
No passengers.
Travel incidental to business.
Expense charged back = calculated hourly operating cost.
Where is this covered? Or is it "not forbidden, therefore permitted"?

Ive received an e-mail that says the IRS allows $.88/mi. Others have said
the FAA regards ANY money you receive from your company for flying your
airplane as "being paid to be a pilot", forbidden for a PP.

Still looking for someone to cite a reg. to clear this up.

Thanks for your post.
