I thought about getting my Cat II certification. The plane has the
required radar altimeter, Cat II windows on the ADI and an expanded localizer indicator. What stopped me was that there are no Cat II approaches at the airports that I normally fly into. Cat II certification is not very useful unless you are regularly flying into SEA, SFO, LAX, or the major airports in Europe. The airports dont have the approaches published and the weather rarely gets below 200 without being 0/0 anyway.
