Thanks Dennis
I was going on the long shot that maybe someone on the newsgroup had been through this before. > what do you have to lose if >the FAA denies your new one? uncomfortable FEELINGS having been rejected by the FAA. Money. I have had a long abscence from flying and I SHOULD probably just go flying with an instructor just for the heck of it. But then, I am in a low-paying job and the $105/hr cost probably would be better spent paying for my house and medical bills. AOPA and Wall-Street Journal CLAIM there is money to be made in instructing. Thinking, but the market here is prohibitive. Besides, THINK I have just about convinced myself to wait till mid January to apply for a medical that will mark one year since I have been off psychiatric medications. >What do you have to gain if after >several months they send you a shiny new one? > A "good" feeling, and the FAAs reassurance and endorsement that they agree with my doctors |
