me and my lass was having a discussion about planes safety, i am learning to
fly a ceesna and argued that in an emergency situation a light aircraft
would glide in to land minimising risk to life.

so if thats the case why cant the big boys the 747 etc etc be made so that
in acritical situation instead of dropping out of the sky they would be more
controlable,, or even on impact that the plane wouldnt disintergrate on
impact resulting in a huge loss of life, in the modern world surely planes
could be made alot safer,
