My handheld installations are done very professionally with the wires well hidden. I do a fair amount of IFR and dont want to rely on a single attitude indicator that can fail. A stand by vaccum system still means you need to do frequent partial panel training since there is no attitude indicator backup, only power backup. Of course if you fly a big giant twin you probably have room for a second attitude indicator. |
