Im not sure what your point is, so I guess I didnt make my point clearly.

I was observing that, as a self-proclaimed Liberal, you show a trait that I
observe in all other self-proclaimed Liberals. Specifically, you indicated
a belief that a list of actions allowed by a controlling authority should
and does exist. E.g. "Pilots should be allowed to carry firearms." or
"People should be allowed to express dissenting opinions." The underlying
belief is that a controlling authority determines what individuals may or
may not do, not any other source.

I would contrast this to the underlying principles of (early) American
government, that all individuals are endowed with inalienable rights,
regardless of the definitions of special interests or controlling
authorities. (This principle has been lost within modern US governments.)
The Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights enumerate specific
rights that were violated by the pre-revolution controlling authority, in an
attempt to keep succeeding governments from following suit.

Based on the point I was trying to make (perhaps too subtly), I take this to
mean "Self-proclaimed Liberals are Orwellian and disingenuouos."

If labels are daggers, proclaiming your own label would be akin to bearing
arms. Which is, of course, the inalienable right of every individual.
