Ill add something... I too have three pair, and only one has had the
ANR go out, none have lost any audio or other functionality. Two of the three have had the dreaded broken "fork" (whatever they call it that holds the ear cup to the headset). Someone earlier said something about DC being the only ones to repair equipment after its been used quite a bit. Each time Ive had to send any of my lightspeeds back it comes back in a few days, repaired, usually with brand-new parts, with no charge. Obviously the goal is to not have to send them out, but considering the abuse I give them theyve been pretty good. In the end I think its a decision about whether to use the head-vice DCs (yeah I like them, and yeah Ive tried all the add-ons, theyre still not as comfy as my lightspeeds, I own both) or to use the lightweight comfortable and superior ANR Lightspeeds. My solution? I have a spare DC in a box inthe back of the airplane just in case, but theyve only been out of the box once in the past few years.
