Cant speak for the fine folks in SoDak, but Kohl got elected because
he grossly out spent his opponent with his own money. No ties to
special interests. He also bought the Milwakee Bucks and kept them
here at the eleventh hour when they were about to be purchased and
moved. He recently (completed a couple of years ago) contributed
heavily (made possible) a new basketball facility for the University
of Wisconsin, Madison. In other words he bought his office. Just like
most politicians. Whats important is that special interests didnt
pay for it.
