You only need to send medical records if the FAA asks (which they will
if youve had some condition that they care about...I believe the poster
you are referring to had bouts of loss of consciousness or something like
that.).

You probalby want a physical anyhow, the work done by the doctor (other
than reviewing your applicatoin) during a 3rd class medical is MINIMAL.
