Subject:Re: Renters insurance (again), what is it good for?

Well, that wasnt exactly what was told to me by the FBO when I was
renting for flight lessons. I was told by the FBO that I needed to
carry, at that time, the standard policy, which covering liability for
injury and damage to other things and specifically covered the $1000
deductible on his policy coverage of damage to the plane. This was a
standard renters policy from Avemco who also said essentially the same
thing. The policy was the same whether I was renting for lessons or for
flight around the area.

Since I havent renewed my policy since 2000, are things different than
that now?
