In article <8rf6fo$79b$1@news6.isdnet.net>, "Bernard Pierron" >I think you have two ways of doing that : >1/ you use an old receiver and you have to pick the signal incoming into a >LSI -> PC or Palm and decode it. Takes quite a bit of "playing." The receiver in a regular transponder wont work (the "reply" that he wants is on a different frequency from the one received by the transponder, although the receiver in an older analog unit could probably be "adjusted" enough). Once you have the 1090 MHz demodulated bit stream coming out you still have to pick it up into a shift register or some such, capable of handling the Megaherts bps data rate and then decode it by fairly precise timing. No big deal if you dont mind wiring together enough TTL gates, but pushing the limit for a little processor chip (68HC12 or such). After that its pretty easy to do whatever you want with the information. jmk \ ----------------------------------------------- James M.
