I just moved my nearby airport locator
http://lairds.org/Kyler/flying/flights/nearby_airports
and set it up to use the new data. The
number of airports has gone from 19460 to
19763. Not only is that a good reason to
use new data, but its just plain cool!

I know were losing some great airports, but
it looks like were gaining some, too. In
the area around us

we lost one and gained two. One also changed
from public to private, though.

Also, we went to a party the other night at
a nice private strip and it doesnt even
show up in this listing, so Id bet that the
19,763 number is a bit low.
