The number of airports has gone from 19460 to 19763. Not only is that a good reason to use new data, but its just plain cool! I know were losing some great airports, but it looks like were gaining some, too. In the area around us http://lairds.org/Kyler/flying/flights/nearby_airports.cgi?address=destination&street=&city=lafayette&state=in&ainfo=AirNav&use=&type=AIRPORT&maxdist=20&airport= we lost one and gained two. One also changed from public to private, though. Also, we went to a party the other night at a nice private strip and it doesnt even show up in this listing, so Id bet that the 19,763 number is a bit low. --kyler |
