I am using them for years because they dont. It appears to me that they just keep working forever, at least these all green make and model by Sanyo, which I got directly in Oshkosh. I used them with my headset and several times discharged to null by mistake (ANC not switched off) and with my Yaesu Pilot with the additional AA battery holder. One set of these 4xAA is already 6 years old, and still going strong!! Good practice is to mark them pairwise and recharge together pairwise. Maha or any other microprocessor controlled charger is recommended. Maha has the plus that it can be used with cigarette lighter cable in your car (not in the aircraft! watch the voltage!!) NIMH is the most popular technology nowadays and the large marked for them causes that they just keep improving in their capacity. The current top capacity seems to be 1800mAh already. Facit: I most decisively disagree with the opinion by Jefro, as a matter of fact I would recommend some reading about NIMH. Thomas. |
