I have the Icom IC-A200 in my 170B and routinely operate in class C and
D vfr with no problems whatsoever. The Icom coupled with a yoke mounted
Garmin 90 has taken be from Alaska to lower 48 several times with no
problems whatsoever. The Icom is a great radio.
