Subject:Transponder advice?

Im thinking of installing a transponder in my Ercoupe. Right now Im trying
to decide between the Garmin GTX 320 and the King KT 76A. Are there others
(besides Narco!) around this price range (approx $1200) that I should also
consider? Is there that much difference between transponders? Id appreciate
any comments, gripes, objections or praises for these or others I should
consider. I plan on buying the ACK A-30 encoder and the antenna separately
from the transponder.

I also have to choose a radio, either a Comm only, a Comm/Nav or a Comm/GPS.
Im leaning towards the Apollo SL40 Comm only at the moment.
