If you can work the newsgroups, you can install a transponder. Tell
the dealer its for an experimental and have the wiring harnass pre-made to your encoder. Now that you own an Ercoupe, look in the Owners Manual and youll see that rRule #612 specifically prohibits an owner from spending any money on the aircraft, its systems or maintenance.
