Been playing with this version a bit. My system is an 800 MHZ
PIII, 256 MB RAM, ATI All-in-Wonder 128. Set X-Plane res to match my screen (1152 x 834 x 32 or whatever) and X-Plane now seems to exit cleanly as long as I use the menu. Ive cranked the rendering options to the max and the frame rate is still smooth even when I intentionally made a less than smooth landing. FS2000 frame rate tanks during roll. Of course X-Plane doesnt have much scenery in the vicinity of HIO. I used Plane-maker to hack one of the stock a/c into something resembling my 1964 Skylane. Still needs some tuning but its close enough to shoot an ILS own nav. Using the hardware trim on my Virtual Pilot Pro doesnt seem to agree with X-Plane. Better to use the software trim. -- Chuck Forsberg WA7KGX N2469R caf@omen.COM www.omen.com Omen Technology Inc "The High Reliability Software" Author of YMODEM & ZMODEM ZMODEM Consulting: $200/hr POB 4681 Portland OR 97208 503-614-0430 FAX:503-629-0665 |
