Buy a nice ul get cheep lessons(compared to heli lessons) and go flying >and have fun! flyman Good advice. There have been expensive $30,000 ultralight helicopters shown at the major shows like Oshkosh and Sun-n-Fun. None of the cheap build-it-yourself types you see in the back of popular mechanics magazine have appeared at those shows in the last 15 years as far as I know. Its possible some of them can fly, but I doubt it. You will also find fuel consumption very high on such machines. If you want a rotorcraft, stick to the gyros which have been well proven. Cheap plans are rarely useable. -------------- Daniel Grunloh (grunloh@uiuc.edu) http://www.staff.uiuc.edu/~grunloh |
