Thanks Ted, BTW I only use a single EGT and CHT on my single carb 447. I cant justify dual EGTs on a single carb engine. Also the CHT is mainly for the fan belt so I hope just one cylinder will give me that warning. Any real mechanical engine problems should show up as a loss of power anyway. Its not as good as dual everything but should suffice. I put the EGT on the aft cylinder of a single carb setup as that is the one most likely to be lean. The CHT location depends on whether you have a new or older cooling shroud.
