I can say from cold - first hand experience on an 87 Yamaha SRV snowmobile (540cc, 2cyl, 2stroke, single carb) - you may have non-running flooding problems - and while running fuel consumption will go up. Evidently fuel will get sucked into the crankcase via the pulse line. Other than that it ran fine. I was riding from Mercer WI to Glidden WI and this thing just made it to Glidden. 7+ gal put into a 7gal tank. On the way back the tear in the membrane got worse and I had to stop three times to siphon out of buddies sleds. Cold wind chill air evaporating gas off of bare skin - that was fun. Fuel pump kit installed - done deal. Tear in the membrane was about 3/8" long IIRC. |
