I fly a Pegasus Quantum 15 (faster 2 place trike) with a Rotax 503
DCDI. I fly from a 500 strip in my backyard. One up my normal takeoff roll is 200-250, 2 up about 450-500. Landing takes 300 consistently with an approach speed of 50-60 mph. With a 582 or 912 you can cut the takeoff roll in half. Triking is great fun, try flying a Quick and a trike and see what really fun flying is, I was torn initially, but finally opted for the trike. If I had the resources and space I would have both! One definite advantage to the trike is you can land with a really steep approach if necessary in order to clear obstacles. Climbout is really good too. Dan Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ |
