Yep, even coat-hangers work if they have a good ground.
Most car ant. mounts do not have a very good ground, they
are intended for recieving (where ground is less important)
rather than transmitting (where good ground is critical).
My cars ant. mount doesnt touch the car body at all, (no
ground at all) Rx is fine, Tx acts like theres no ant. there.
