This wont be much help, but six or seven years ago I ran into two
groups of builders with VW-powered MiniMaxes. One bunch was
in Maine, the other in Florida (started by a transplant from the
Maine group.) At this point, Ive no idea exactly where they were
or who was involved in them -- seems to me the Florida crowd
was somewhere on the West coast -- but maybe this will at least
help you to narrow the search.
