There is a mark on a stub cast onto the injector/ At 3000 rpm the scribe mark on the stub should be aligned with the scribe on the end of the injector lever. Another problem,,,,,,,,,,if the engine is proped too low of an rpm, the injector lever will be injecting full oil at a much lower rpm. dont prop the engine for say, 6100 when the proper rpm is nearer 6500 since that will oil foul the plugs and stick the rings early. glad you dont any metallic residue.
