Subject:	Rans S12 and BFI

I have been looking at an S12 and the persons selling it has not taken
the N number and is operating under the BFI mode. If I were to buy it
could I operate it as a BFI. IF so what is required? If not how hard is
it to reinstate the N number(it had one previously). I am a PP SEL.
Also how can I find a BFI in the Seattle area? Thanks
