Description:
ForPilots Pocket Test is a study aid for the Private Pilot Knowledge Exam. The Private Pilot Knowledge Exam is the exam that the FAA requires Private Pilots to pass in order to get their Private Pilot License. ForPilots TestPrep will quiz you with the questions from the exam and let you know which ones you get right or wrong.
ForPilots Pocket Test is FREE -- that's right, you're welcome to use it all you like, without paying. We only ask that you please have a look at our other software at http://www.forpilots.com/ and see if something there might interest you.
ForPilots TestPrep is based on the 1999 Private Pilot exam (which is a little out of date). We're currently working on updating the software to the latest version of the exam. However, that's not to say that the 1999 questions aren't useful -- the FAA usually only changes a few questions per year.

Installing:
You've probably already run the installation program to get this far, but in case you haven't...
ForPilots TestPrep has an automated install program that will install the software for you. If you downloaded the self-extracting version (fppt10.exe), then just run the file and it will install itself.
The installer will automatically install the program into your PocketPC PDA.
Running the Program:
The icon for ForPilots-PocketTest will be placed in the "Programs" folder of your pocket PC's start menu. To access it, click the <Start> menu, then go to the "programs" folder.
By default, ForPilots Pocket Tests creates an exam that includes all available questions in random order, not including those that refer to figures. It's done this way because you don't always have the supplement with the FAA figures handy. However, if you want to include the questions that do refer to figures in the supplement, then you can use the pull-down menu option "Test" and "Settings" and un-check the box that says "hide questions that refer to figures".
You'll be presented with questions in random order -- click the correct answer and then press "Next" to check your answer. If you answered correctly, then you'll get to go to the next question. If you were incorrect, then the computer will beep and show you the correct answer.
You can press the "Score" button to see your score at any time.
